WHAT YOU WILL LEARNVideo is everywhere nowadays and video editing is highly valued craft. If you’d like to learn some editing basics, then this workshop is perfect for you. With just a few skills, you can craft stunning videos or merge video and photos into presentations that will keep the audience craving more. Pieter will help you to get started by going through some essentials from the application layout to the final export. |
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRINGThis session is suited to anyone new to video editing, however an understanding of how to use applications such as Adobe Lightroom would be helpful. Bring your laptop if you have editing software on board. The workshop concentrates primarily on editing video using Apple’s Final Cut Pro X but that doesn't mean it won't be helpful for other editing software. If you are using Adobe Premier Pro, this workshop will still be of great value to you. |
THE WORKSHOP COVERS:
Exploring the software interface Introducing lower-third titles Importing video and photographs Adding music to your project Using the basic tools and keyboard shortcuts Adjusting edit points Starting a project Publishing and polishing your work Starting your rough cut Screening examples, final questions & gadget update
THE VENUE
The National Headquarters of the Australian Cinematographers Society in North Sydney is an inspiring place. As perhaps Australia’s most successful film industry organization, the ACS has been home to some of our country’s finest image makers since 1958.
