SATURDAY 21st the storyCurrent video cameras are capable of capturing stunning images resulting in a comparatively technically even playing field. However presenting a compelling story is not only about image quality - few people in an audience have an emotional response to impressive image resolution. Good audio also, is absolutely critical.The essential element of a good video presentation is simply, The Story. It follows that priority should be placed on coming up with good ideas and devising engaging sequences. These ideas form the kernel of the day. Along with cinematographers, directors and producers will also find this workshop of benefit. Having a clearer understanding of camera and audio equipment can be incredibly helpful. |
SUNDAY 22nd the camera, the lightThis workshop studies shooting-for-the-edit techniques, lens choices, camera movement and audio options. Pieter will also update you on the latest camera features, accessories and gadgets. It's not all pixels, menus and dials. Tips on the use of available light and discover the cinematography lighting techniques that have kept Pieter at the top of his craft for over thirty five years. Which camera you have is unimportant - the quality your video does not depend on the model camera that you use. |
